Training Courses
Quality Transitions offers a series of training courses to help
your organization run more efficiently. The following human resources
courses are hands-on and encourage attendees to share their own
experiences and ideas. They are taught at your preferred location
and at your convenience. Also, our courses can be edited to your
preference of delivery and molded to an outline your organization
approves of. Times can be subjected to change as well.
We offer the following courses:
Managing People
4-hour session
This course is designed to help increase the supervisor's understanding
of him or herself and the people on his/her team. This program is
taught with an orientation toward real-life situations. Participants
will learn how to motivate employees, change negative attitudes,
to use the self-fulfilling prophecy, how to avoid people problems,
job factors that influence performance, outside influences on performance,
how to deal with disruptive behavior, and when to adjust supervisory
style.
Leadership
4-hour session
The purpose of this course is to enhance the supervisor's skills
as a leader, review different leadership styles, characteristics
of a good leader, how to communicate effectively, key elements of
giving directions, counseling guidelines, how to give constructive
criticism, and five levels of progressive discipline.
Proactive Leadership
4-hour session
Make your department stand out in the company by becoming proactive
not reactive. Learn how to improve productivity, solve problems,
create a change culture, and gain support for your ideas.
Managing for Results
4-hour session
This course covers the details of the management process and provides
management problem solving tools to get the job done effectively.
Topics deal with time management, setting priorities, planning tools,
tracking performance, and pitfalls to avoid.
Participative Management/Teambuilding
4-hour session
This is a course on teamwork. It includes the advantages and problems
associated with teamwork; 5 levels of participative management,
assessing team performance, key needs of teams, how to avoid team
conflicts, factors that support employee ideas, effective facilitation
skills, and how to run meetings that get results.
Interviewing Skills and the Hiring Process
2-hour session
This is a course to help improve the hiring process as well as improve
interviewing strategies.
Change Management/Continuous Improvement
2-hour session
This is a course to help organizations through necessary change
in accomplishing a win-win situation for both management and the
workforce.
How to avoid all Workplace Harassment Issues
2-hour session
Harassment is one of the fastest growing and largest areas of workplace
claims. This course is offered to help make your employees aware
of the many types of harassment that goes on in the workplace and
leading to legal action. Harassment topics include, age, sex, race,
color, religion, nationality or disabilities.
Employment Law
1-hour session
This is an overview to insure all of the companies' policies and
practices are compliant to federal and state statutes and that managers/supervisors
understand how to avoid legal landmines.
